Biography of Premananda Ji Maharaj
Premanand Ji Maharaj’s grandfather was a sanyasi. The atmosphere of his entire house was very pious, devotional and religious. His father Shri Shambhu Pandey also took sanyaas later. Being born in such a religious family, he had religiousness and devotion from the very beginning.
Shri Hit Premanand Ji Maharaj started chanting mantras, prayers, God’s names etc. from a very young age. When he was in the fifth grade, he started reading Shri Sukhsagar of Geeta Press publication.
When Premanand Ji Maharaj was in 9th class, he decided to live his life spiritually. He also told his mother about his decision. At the age of 13, at around 3 am, Maharaj Ji left his home and set out in search of truth and God.
Maharaj ji was initiated into Naishthik Brahmacharya and was named Anandswaroop Brahmachari. Later he also took Sanyas. And when he accepted the Mahavakya, he was named Swami Anandashram. The name of Premanand ji Maharaj’s spiritual guru is Shri Hit Govind Sharan ji Maharaj.

With increasing age, the risk of getting this disease increases significantly. This disease shows its form by the age of about 60 years. This is one of those rare diseases that are passed on from parents to children. In this disease, the size of the kidney starts increasing.
In this disease, lumps start forming in the kidney and these lumps keep on increasing with time. Due to which the kidney stops working and gets damaged. In such a situation, the person has to undergo the process of kidney dialysis to survive.
Both the kidneys of Premanand Ji Maharaj are not working due to autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. Even without kidneys, he has been following his daily routine well for the last 18 years. He has to undergo kidney dialysis process about 3 to 4 times a week. This process takes about 3 to 5 hours.
